This lakeside home, which was built in the
1800's, is the only bed and breakfast
on beautiful Claytor Lake. This historic home has been redecorated, revitalized,
and has been operating as an Inn since 1990. The current owners (Faith in the Lake, LLC)
purchased this lakeside home in 1999, and have been doing continual
restoration. The home is decorated throughout with antiques, reproductions,
family pieces, and artworks including a primitive colonial-style portrait of one
of the owner's daughters, Faith (hence the name Faith in the Lake).
The lovely living room with fireplace, the large
library, and the bird watching room are wonderful
places to gather with friends or family to relax, read, or enjoy alternative
activities including cards, puzzles, board games, an antique stereo scope, and a
moon scope.

Most
rooms in the cozy old house have a spectacular view of the lake, and the brick and
stone wraparound porch and deck provide a magnificent, year-round view.
Each of the five guest rooms and log cabin suite have all the comforts of home
including a private phone, color television, and DirecTV and VCRs are available
in some rooms. Beds vary in size from
king-size to two twin-double beds, and all rooms have private baths. A
large gourmet breakfast is served each morning in the dining room, in your suite,
on the
porch, or on the deck. A gourmet chef is also available to prepare your
dinner, with advance reservations.

Numerous recreational opportunities are available at the Inn.
You can spend your afternoon on the 550 feet of private white sand beach along the
lake, and the Cabana's full kitchen, Mrs. Pac Man video game, outdoor game
closet, and fishing gear, make it possible to spend an entire day on the lake. A
private boat dock is also available for guests with a paddleboat and a row boat.
There is an 18-hole PGA
approved public golf course nearby, and the New River Trail is less than a mile away. A short drive will take you to
Claytor Lake State Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, two Virginia Wineries, Radford
University, and Virginia Tech University.
